Games of Drones is a solitaire war game in the narrative style about the Ukraine War. Set in the Summer of 2024, it places you into the role of a drone pilot leading a team in the Krasnohorivka sector of Donetsk. During your two-month deployment, you will see Russian Main Battle Tanks, BMPs, BTRs, MT-LBs, Grad rocket launches, trucks, artillery, infantry, and more. Will you survive and prevail?
Designed by Thomas Van Hare, this is the fifth game of a series of book-based wargames. It is written and produced in conjunction with Joe "BigMac" McDonald, a drone pilot fighting in Ukraine. As a result, it is an accurate, up-to-date, and honest depiction of what is is like to fight in this new era, when drones have come to dominate the battlefield. A portion of the proceeds support his drone team.
