Limits of Glory: Santa Maura & Capri
The third and fourth campaigns in our Limits of Glory series will be two games in one box. Each game is designed to be a stand alone shorter game, playable in an hour, using the same unique Limits of Glory system but on a smaller scale.
One game covers the campaign in 1808 by the Neapolitans and French to recover the island of Capri from the British, while the other game recreates the British invasion of the island of Santa Maura just off the Greek mainland to capture it from the French in 1810.
The Limits of Glory series examines the influence of 'skill and luck' on the commanders present in a campaign. A Glory rating is attributed to all the significant participants in the campaign, made up from the skill they exhibited and the luck from which they benefited. Players must make difficult decisions as to when to use their commanders Glory to mitigate the situation on the board to their advantage by attempting to manage favourable and unfavourable events thrown up by the Event Clock as the campaign unfolds.
